In 3000bc, the Egyptians first made beeswax candles. Beeswax was not widely available, it was expensive and only available to the upper class. It burns clean and purifies the air by attaching to negative ions.
Bees secrete beeswax through their 8 glands. The wax is recovered as a by-product when honey is harvested.
When burning, place candle on a heat resistant plate. For the first burn, burn until the wax pool extends from edge to edge. Push wick into wax to extinguish and then straighten. You can gently 'hug' candle with your hands to reshape after extinguished.
Enjoy the purity.
